Sorry it’s taken us so long to let you know, but we at OWL are THRILLED to announce that Carousing With Cupid raised $1500 for the HPA, STAND, and Partners In Health!

We couldn’t have done it without you, so pat yourselves on the backs (depending on how long your arms are, you might need a spell for that)!

We are so very disappointed to have to tell you that Gred and Forge will not be able to play Carousing With Cupid. Due to last-minute travel issues (that were nobody’s fault, and yet could not be resolved) Jarrod won’t be able to make it.
We’re just as bummed about this as you are, believe me. But we’ve still got six awesome bands for you: Into The Pensieve, Oliver Boyd & The Remembralls, Justin Finch-Fletchley & The Sugar Quills, The Whomping Willows, The Remus Lupins, and Ministry of Magic.

That way we can plan to have plenty of homemade cupcakes and soda for everyone.

We have a special opening guest, local area wizard rockers Into The Pensieve. They will go on right as we open the doors at 6:30pm. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/intothepensieve.

So get your dress robes cleaned and pressed, and be ready to wrock next Saturday, February 13 at 6:30pm!

Gilderoy’s robes (the cape, waistcoat, and jabot seen in this video) will be in the Muffliato Auction at the ball!

These lovely 11×17-inch posters will be for sale at the ball for just $5!

The original artwork by the fabulously talented Rosemary Waits will be available to bid on in the Muffliato Auction.

Just two weeks left until we wrock out for some good causes! Don’t forget to buy your tickets. If you plan to buy your ticket at the door, just email us at owlhpa@gmail.com, so we know how much soda and yummy homemade cupcakes to have on hand.

We will still be donating to the HPA and STAND, because we feel those are worthy organizations and because people have bought tickets expecting their money to go there. But we will also be donating to Partners in Health.

Partners in Health has been providing health care to Haiti’s poor for 25 years, so we feel they are uniquely qualified to judge how best to use our money there. You can learn more about the organization here: http://www.standwithhaiti.org/haiti

Last year, this event raised $2000 for charity. Help us do it again–and even raise that amount! Please join us on February 13 as we wrock out for several good causes.
