A wizard rock ball to benefit the HPA.

This year, we’re earmarking a 100% of the donation for the Harry Potter Alliance’s work with the Imagine Better Coalition, specifically their work toward marriage equality.

HPA executive director Andrew Slack explains, “Named after J.K. Rowling’s quote: ‘We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better,’ the Imagine Better Coalition is dedicated to bringing together the world’s most prominent YouTube celebrities, over twenty fan communities, and best selling young adult authors toward social change – such as getting one million people engaged in marriage equality.”

OWL feels this is a timely and important cause to support. We are firmly dedicated to fighting for human rights, and that means the same rights for all, regardless of race, color, sex, age, disability, national origin, religion, or sexual orientation. We fully support the LGBT community in their fight for equality, both under the law and in the hearts and minds of their fellow human beings.
